Does anyone have any advice on how to store the sensitive memosa seeds that my sensitive plant produced? My sensitive is not enjoying this cold weather and does not seem like it's going to make it (too cold outside, not enough light inside), so I'm going to try to grow more in the spring.

Not much going on here, it's too cold to grow new plants! Just trying to keep my babies alive, they're spending more time inside the house than out. They are not very happy about this though...they don't get enough sunlight inside.

Hi Boxmonkey!!
I have Mimosas, but they're the trees, not the "sensitive plant" that you have. Mine would live through anything!! Here in the South, they are sometimes considered invasive, but I love 'em.
The info I have on your Mimosa says that the plants need very high light, and constantly moist, but not waterlogged, soil. If yours is suffering you're right, it's probably not getting enough light.

The seeds germinate quite well, make sure they're completely dry, and store in a cool, dark place until ready to sow. Soaking helps them to germinate more quickly, pour boiling water over them and allow to soak for 2-3 days before sowing.

The seed pods are already developed, I just didn't know where to keep them.

The weather here is weird. It can be 75 during the day and 30 degrees at night. The coldest it's gotten so far was 28. That's plenty cold for me.
