I have 2 hibiscus plants that I keep indoors (I live in northern Canada). Does anyone know about when and how much I should prune back each year? I find that about now (January) they have stopped blooming, but the foliage is getting kind of straggly looking. I keep the soil moist and fertilize regularly and put it in the laundry room when the dryer is running to give it some warm humidity.

Any other ideas to keep them happy and healthy indoors? Thanks in advance. D

Deanad, I'm trying to work with my hibiscus indoors as well. I live in the Chicago area. I found an interesting website that may give you some info. Try:
www.trop-hibiscus.com
Good luck and happy new year.
