Someone threw out 15 8" pots today. Talk about christmas. That puts me that much closer to my petunia tree. Lucky day, time to buy a mega million ticket.

Wow Longy,

That's what I call really lucky. I saw that wave petunia post that Weezie wrote and I've been thinking about it every since. But way to many materials are required for my budget. This was like christmas. It puts me well on the way to getting one.

The places we throw all our rubbish have recycling centres there these days in most places. Anything re-usable is put aside by workers and you can have a look around. i get a lot of things like paint, plumbing, old used timber etc. The compost tumbler turned up while i was dumping a load. An old bloke pulled up and as he put it on the ground i basically grabbed it on the half volley and bounced it into my ute. My better half reckons i bring home more than i take. Possibly true as if i don't find anything i get a load of mulch instead:) I saw a wrought iron 6' gate there recently and i didn't get it. Wish i had've. I'm gonna get it next time if it's still there. Put it on the chookyard or something and paint it red. Bewdy:) Flash as a chook with a red gate.

Longy, you and my dad would get along great. Unfortunately he doesn't have a big yard where he can put all of his finds. But it makes him happy and it's better than when he gets on QVC. lol
