Hi everyone,

My husband and I just planted our first garden this past weekend. I'm having trouble deciding when to water and what's too much or too little. I have a black eyed susan that seems to be dying....any help??

plants in the ground should be watered everyday until their roots become established. Once they are established, rain should be enough. Unless, you experience sub-par rain. Then, be sure to water deeply at least once a week.

Rule of thumb: if plants look dry/wilty water them.

Too much water is, usually, only a problem with houseplants & large irrigated areas containing plants with various water requirements.
