Hi everyone ~ wavey

Blooming and I were talking the other night and she mentioned she picked "Mountain Laurel" as part of her name because it is PA's State flower.

Which got me thinking, would y'all mind telling which are your State flowers?

Maine is Lupine, which I think is so lovely.

Anyone else?

Is Yellow Jessamine very fragrant? I know Orange Blossoms are...

And that rich color of the Violet Viola, Mary, is breathtaking! What a beautiful plant!

Minnesota state flower is the Ladyslipper.

State bird is the mosquito...LOL... an age-old joke for us up here!!

Actually our state bird is the Common Loon, very mysterious bird with an eerie sound. So beautiful.

OMG I just looked up the state tree and saw that we have an official state mushroom, the Morel. Funny!

Our tree is the Norway Pine which makes too much sense...a lot of Norweigan in our blood!

Wyoming's State bird is the Meadowlark.
State flower is Indian Paintbrush.
State tree is Plains Cottonwood. I have seven of these monsters in my yard. Raking is my least favorite chore.
We also have a State sport-Rodeo. I suppose being the Cowboy state that would make sense.
