You are sweet, Jimmy, thank you.
It was the call I have been dreading. She has been in and out of the hospital for several months.
I wish I wasn't across the country, but we moved last fall.
She has had health problems for a long time, she actually was not supposed to live to adulthood. (heart defect) And years ago, doctors told she could not ever have children, it would kill her. So I think the animals were her children.
If you were Sue's friend, it was because she grew to trust you. Animals she trusted, people not so much. We had something in common there.
Six years ago, I was trying to save a cat in my neighborhood, and ultimately, I found Sue. We bonded because of the animals. By the time she trusted me enough to share her health issues with me, it was too late, she was forever my friend.
I guess I don't know what else to say... I feel like I need to do something, I just don't know what right now.
