Good day everyone,

Upon browsing the net a few days ago looking for advice for the new gardner, I came across this site. What a wonderful, helpful and interesting site this is.

I am a complete novice!~ I have only in the last few months, felt compelled to grow things. I have never had a knack for living plants and such and always profess myself to have a "silk" thumb. Working with silk plants only. I have decided to be a bit brazen and start a mini herb garden from scratch(seed).I have 6 herbs started now and I must admit, when that first seedling came through the soil it felt like Christmas morning. So now, I am officially hooked for life.

Thank you for creating such a lovely site. Especially for us newbies who can learn much here from the kind people and information provided.

Have a wonderful day, ladies and gentlemen.

Hello and lovely sunny day to everyone.~ wavey

Thank you for such the kind welcomes' tkhooper, princessazlea and Merme. I do appreciate everyones' smiles and well wishes.
I am sorry it has taken so long to post properly. In dealing with an Autistic child and fighting the school district, etc over him that takes up more hours than I seem to have in a day..sheesh! But onwards and upwards.
I appreciate the patience all of you have, thank you again.

Warm pink fuzzies to you.

Hi again Shy~

There is a thread underway in Banter Hall called Vanessa's News. Two of our forum members have children with Autism and one is an experienced mom with it and the other is mom to a newly diagnosed child.

The thread was started so we could all keep track of how things are developing with the little ones, exchange information, offer our prayers and support, etc. Some of us, like me, know nothing about Autism, so we appreciate the explanations and updates. Feel free to join in the conversation any time.

Merme

Hello Merme,

Thank you for the good advice. This forum is so vast, I wouldn't have thought to even check Banter Hall...silly me  I appreciate your help and I send a hardy wavey to the other mothers' on this board who have special and gifted children like mine.

Have a wonderful " glass is half full" day.~
