It REALLY breaks my heart that it's impossible for all of us to get together. ters ters
I would like for nothing more that to be around you all (physically) and cook for you.
I love to cook. Jeff wants to open a restaurant and have me incharge of the kitchen. He would handle the wait staff. I can see it now...phoenix...part-time chef/full-time florist laugh laugh

Ogunquit is really close to where I live, Phoenix. Just about a 40 minute drive straight up the highway. Ya can't miss us.

and...I've got a tiny, tiny grill with a dome top just aching for somebody to fire it up....

In the off season, when the rates go down all over the state, we love it when people come up, have dinner, and then sit around outside while we just keep adding wood to the fire and sweaters on our shoulders and listen to the night unfold, particularly if there is a breeze blowing in from the sea...

Oh I'd let you cook to your hearts content, Phoenix then turn you loose to go walking on the beach for a bit while I cleaned up. We are only about 4 blocks from the sand...

The kid 'n I are always ready for a good time, truth to tell. You guys would be most welcome.

So if I have my small grill, and you have a similar one, that would be Grills #1 and #2 for the wild reunion to go with all those picnic tables we are collecting. Now...where to drum up some more?

And I just solved the issue of not being able to communicate without our 'puters in front of us.

Afgrey could paint table cloths to look like a computer at each place mat setting. So we'd all still have that technological feel to the converstaion!

Howz that?

You know families move all over the world and get together every once in a while for family reunions. I just don't see why we cannot seriously plan one! Given enough time, we could accomplish anything. Of course it would have to be in the fall when our gardens don't need as much daily work.

Oh G-mom, I was HOPING you'd volunteer to cook also, using that Splendid High-Tech Top O' The Line Grill That Probably Even Rocks Babies To Sleep While Washing Dishes! And what dya mean, it would be Grill #3 and #4? I'm thinking it is probably more like Grill #3 through #10.

Hot diggity!!!

And Dianna, the entertainment value of having our very own KJ on the scene would be a gift beyond words.

I for one would like to hear G-mom & Afgrey sing that theme song, among other things.

I'm guessing many of us here have good voices although a few have claimed not to have one. But we could get 'em going just fine.

It has been my experience that EVERYONE can sing. Some just haven't found THEIR song yet.

Yep, it would be fun to get together, sing, and party. I am sure we would all be talking away as if we had known each other all our lives.

Meg, not knowing HOW to sing is very different than not being ABLE to sing!

In all my years of teaching music, I only met one person who truly could NOT sing. He spoke. I could not get him past speaking into singing. He'd learn the words and the rhythm but could only SAY them and not SING them, no matter what.

He really COULDN'T hear the differences in pitch...it all sounded monotone to him and so that is what he repeated.

That's true "tone deafness".

Fortunately, the majority of people can hear a simple tune and recognize it again later. If you can do that, you can sing.

Believe me, any music teacher would have thier hands full with our household. Marissa speaks the words to the songs. Alex mumbles them. I lipsynch, cuz my voice is less than appealing when applied to song.. Steve probably has the best of us.. but even he has limitations. laugh
