Here's part of my blue garden today.
The plant in the upper right is a blue lacecap hydrangea that hasn't bloomed yet,
but for the first time has many buds on it. thumbup

What's the plant upper left? That's an interesting flower.

I absolutely love Centaurea Montana/Mountain Bluet.
It's a very easy plant to grow, thumbup
I do absolutely nothing to mine..
And it's all over my one bed...
Oh, I do dead head it as I walk by,
cause that makes it bloom longer.... grinnnn

Ok Weezie... spill - who are the cousins?!?

I've never noticed the scent on these - will have to go outside and stick my nose in them now!

My bees don't tend to bee on this plant as much as some others, so I haven't noticed a problem - yet!

Very pretty! I just realized how pink my garden looks today. Now I know what to do to add some blue. Thanks!

MissJamie - I've never collected seeds from this plant before. I usually deadhead it after the first bloom with hopes that it will bloom again once the temps cool down. I'll have to see if I can find any seeds this year, and I'll keep you in mind.

Weezie - I've never seen either of those plants for sale around here. Wherever did you find them?!? The pink flowers remind me a little of scabiosa - I've not had luck with that plant.

That plant has seeds,
and they're a nice size seed too....
At the end of the year, instead of deadheading
all of them, leave a good handful on to make seeds.
You'll get a bunch.....

I scour the country side for rare and the different...
No, really, I do hunt in towards Buffalo nurseries though, I have just the basic stuff
out here in the boonies..

I've never seen the seeds on the yellow one though.
I'll have to look closer for those..

Those are just too nice - I'm jealous.

Everybody's into blue stuff here too. Guess it's just something that does well right now.

hi everyone,

I'm love flowers but I have to admit I'm partial to red and yellow and I think it may be starting to show that way in the garden lol. They have a yellow plant like that montana one? Hum ... very limited space butttttttttttt - alittle push, alittle shove ... maybe.

thumbup We have lots of room for them, but I can't dig up the rocks here - it's no joke that we live in Rockland County - can you believe that?!? And... he hates having to mow around all my plants. :p Oh, well... I'm gonna have to think of something nice to do for him so he won't fuss too much about starting another garden for me - hmmmmm...

Where DO you find these plants, Weezie?!?

Yes, there's a house I walk by
that has those, they look like a
forget~me~not flower, but the
leaves are big and round..

One day I will work up the nerve to knock
on the door... they just moved in and
didn't want to rush them.... shocked

Okay Lynne, here's another one...
gentiana_verna

And where do I find them.....
I read constantly......... constantly........
constantly..............

Nice things to do for hubby:

Plan a nice weekend for him where he can fish/hunt/bowl/go out with his friends.

Warm his towel while he's in the shower.

You know what.

Cook him those meals that say I know you work hard and I appreciate it.

Take something off of his "to do list."

Clean/mend/repair that item of clothing that is a "bone of contention" and tell him because it's his favorite. (even though you hate it!)

Make a desert that keeps in the refrigerator for a few days that he likes.

Complements work!!! Recognize what he already does.

Don't pelt with questions when he gets home lol. This one is so hard to do.

I just knew that's were you were going. But this is a family site so "I" did not mention anything like that.

I'm a good girl.
 angell

It's so easy to take a partner for granted. It happens slowly but it happens. And the funny think is most of the things I learned to do didn't take much time or effort.
