OP Fernie Snow Bunny Joined: Apr 2005 The Idaho Boonies	See this nice little spruce in my front side yard? It isn't very tall, maybe 10 feet. Look a mite closer.... Still can't see anything? Ok look just above my head.... See them.....4 fat little robins that I was making highly nervous! I wouldn't get close to a hummingbird nest. They'd probably poke your eye out!

Thornius The Bird Man Joined: May 2005 Nashville, TN	I once got within 10 feet of a Ruby-throated Huumingbird's nest. It was about the size and shape of half of a golfball. The mother hummer was on the nest at the time! She sat there with her head pointed upward at about a 45 degree angle, reminding me of a miniature American Bittern posing.
