Awhile ago I was outside with the skunks, standing by my little pond. "Sunflower" came around to where I was standing so she could get a drink. A car came speeding over the hill and scared her, and she ran out into the road behind it. Another car was coming in the opposite direction, so I shined my flashlight on "Sunflower" so they wouldn't hit her (she was on the SHOULDER at this point, not IN the road). Well, the stupid, redneck son of a something SWERVED over and tried to hit her! With me standing about 10 feet from her! It pi$$ed me off so bad. mad

Tomorrow I'm putting up a "Pet Skunk X-ing" sign.

It's a good thing I didn't even pay attention to what kind of car it was...
...I can get a little "redneck" too if need be!

mad The dumb a$$ driver did miss her didn't he?? I wouldn't even run over a dead skunk much less a live one. Now we don't care for the little creatures comming up on the porch....but I wouldn't run one over. Not even a bird. Or a squirrel...nothing...That's not right. frown Laura

Yeah, he missed her by literally inches.
I 'bout died! Sunflower is my favorite, because she's still just a baby and is very tame. I feed her every night, and she's out there like clockwork waiting on her cat chow as soon as I put Lola in bed. She's so sweet.
