Hello, everyone. I'm Jillie, Jc2weho,s best bud, and she's been sharing this site with me. Now you'll be able to tell who's posting what. We started on this site when JC asked what our mystery plant on the side of the house was. We got an answer, quick as a wink, and we've been smitten by this place ever since. All of you are so helpful and friendly, and the topics aren't restricted just to gardening.
Thank you all for being here.

Goood morning everyone!
Weezie, Jiffymouse, Loz, Gardengal (Yay, Calif!, thanks so much for the warm welcome, I love this place. It's the first place I come, now, with my morning cuppa. I've been waking up with you guys. plants & Pots, "welcome" to you, too! Nikkal, Yeah, I'm the one who "Speaks Bird." (Calif bluejays are an easy "speak." laugh ).
Catlover, you live near my old neighborhood; I lived & worked in Oceanside for eight years. I miss North County. Green thumb? My three grown daughters say I have ten of 'em ("Oh, Mom and her plants") But, My tomatoes fail, The gardenia has buggies, and I almost killed our night-blooming jasmine. succulents and cacti; whole different ballgame. My love for them goes back more than 30 years. In this garden, though, I've had things blooming that I thought I'd never see. Sense of humor? JC and I are both a little wacky in that regard. We have as much fluff as we do plants, I think.
Thank you all. What a warm welcome.

They are so cute!
It's funny too, cause when I first saw one,
I called it that,
not knowing what the name of it was,
and some how got to read up on one,
and was flabber~gasted when I learned
it's real name was a hummingbird moth.

Jillie since Oceanside is your old stomping ground maybe you can tell me of some good party places! I have kids that are 19,20, and 21 that are looking for things to do around here! Daughter goes to Cal State San Marcos....it is a new school and not a lot of activity. Anything close to Fallbrook to do for fun? Maybe even Temecula? I have heard of several places in La Jolla and Downtown San Diego but not around here! Any ideas? Duh

Cat, I don't know of many party places. I spent the time in Oceanside caring for my mom until she passed and working and raising my granddaughter....But, there's that whole dining and entertainment multiplex in either Vista or San Marcos; some pretty "with it" places with the younger folks, from what I understand.. I'm afraid I'm a dullard in that regard, tho..Sorry, I'm no help at all. Duh
