Would this forum be more appropriately be designated as a "new category" which could contain individual forums which would include a variety of different hobbies and crafts (collecting, stitchery, candlemaking), or should it remain a forum within the "Gardening Friends" category?

Let's see what else do
I do besides gardening???

I love to do crafts,
although I hardly do any of
them lately, but I make all
sorts of T~shirts, sweatshirts,
earrings, necklaces, etc.

I would love to get into candle making.
njoynit and I have talked about that,
I'm hoping over the winter she can give
me some pointers, and do's and don'ts.

I have a fish tank, and we really like that.
Thinking about getting a bigger one...
It is so cool to have an whole different
little world to look in on..........

I do a little dried arrangements......
I save things from my garden and
make little arrangements, either
in a vase or in a container............
That's fun, and does tie in with gardening,
the things you can grow to save later.....

I'll think of a few more, as I go along.
We'd like to hear about your hobbies,
knitting, cross~stich, macramae', sewing,
All sorts of things!!

Let's hear from you!!! wavey

I like the idea of this forum within the garden friends category because:
  • 1. everyone here is so friendly
    2. I like being able to ask a question no matter the simplicity or complexity and someone will have an opinion or answer.
    and
    3. there are a lot of crafts that bleed over from or to our gardens!

Bill, Weezie, you are geniouses!

Carol,
That's great with the quilts!!! thumbup
My sister did the Brownies and she had
the girls do quilts for the seniors!!!
And they did one for some of the kids in
the cancer places. That is so nice.
I have a special place that tugs at my
heart, is St. Judes. (when I win the lottery,
I'd love to set up something for crafts for
the kids to do at that place!!!)
You are one busy lady!!! angell
Boy, I wish I had a empty room for my crafts.
The one I had eye~balled for my crafts will have
someone else in it, and but that'll be good.
Later on when it empties again, way down the line,
I'll get to do what you did!!!

I am a crafty person. I enjoy cross stitch and beading. As well as, of course, the computer. I am addicted to playing Hearts on-line. And www.neopets.com too.

The beading project that I work most on is for our local pregnancy crisis center.

We make Rosary Bracelets on Memory wire. We sell them anywhere and everywhere.

The crisis center helps women of all ages that are pregnant unexpectedly. They help with groceries, diapers, utilities, any need. And only when necessary, adoption placement.

njoynit,
Where do you get your ingredients to do the bath salts and such???
I know of a catalog that is great and has all
sorts of crafts!!

http://www.bolekscrafts.com/

And

http://www.enterpriseart.com/

I have done business with these two companies
for years!!! I have never had any complaints with them,
I think once or twice some things were out
of stock, and either replaced with a check or subsitutes.
I enjoyed my deliveries every time.
