I am. GG did something to the computer yesterday while I was gone for groceries.....I had to so a full 'system restore' this morning.

Oh my..so sorry for that, Sunny. Glad you were able to fix it.

With this computer it always wants to update and if you stop it so many times then it 'locks' itself. I then have to restart it in 'safe mode' then restore it....one of these days it will not start up I am afraid.

I wonder if Tina is o.k. the news stated there were more fires again.

Yes, I saw that about the California fires. I hope she is ok as well. I am hoping she having computer issues and not fires worries. (not that I want her to be having computer problems)

We are still having extreme cold weather, it is supposed to hit minus -40*F tonight. All those people who have been taking out their woodstoves and installing 'mini split heaters' are going to be in for a cold night. They'll kick out and stop working in extreme cold.

It us sunny here but not near as cold as it is at your house. I will keep telling myself my weather is not so bad as it could be. So thanks for that, Sunny. I am sorry for you though.

Don't worry about me Junie. I have a woodstove for heat(and that I can cook on) and a generator for emergencies.....I have never been so prepared as these past few years. We have propane for our camping stove and a large bag of charcoal for our outdoor grill. No one will freeze or starve in this house.

I might be thankful for all that when this weekend arrives, they are calling for a severe storm Saturday into Sunday.....no other details yet though.

I should be so prepared. We do not have cold like you do but, we have lost power in years past. I can still remember living in the living room for 3 days. Our fireplace was gas and did not need electricity to run. It was how we strayed warm. If that happens here, I guess we will go stay with my daughter. They have a wood burning fireplace.

It is so cold outside, just shy of the minus -40*F they called for. There will be lots of vehicles not starting this morning. DH plugged his in and even tucked it right against the shed to stop the cold from freezing the engine....I think of all the poor little abandoned animals on days like this.

....adding to this, this is the pics of what the inside of your house does at -40*. The windows freeze on the inside as well as the hinges on the inside of the steel door. Imagine what the outside looks like.

Sunny I can't even imagine that cold. They did end up going to see Travis and had a great time. All Colt and I saw was rain; no ice thankfully BUT where my house is actually got 2 inches of beautiful soft snow and I wasn't there to see it.

I am just watching the news about the blizzard that hit Buffalo, NY in 1977, what a mess they had to deal with.

I saw on a morning show yesterday that New York is forecast for a snow storm...from a dusting to several feet. I guess that is how to make sure that you get it right, huh ??

Yup, it's the same for here starting tomorrow afternoon...they are forecasting 6 to 14 inches. There is quite a difference between those two amounts.

Yep quite a difference. I guess you can't be told you were wrong with forecasts like that, huh ?

Yes, that's for sure. When they use the words "weather bomb" in the forecast, it puts the elderly here in panic mode. It will be a wild night here with the storm....and a mess to clean up in the morning. New York is dealing with it at the moment as it comes up the Eastern seaboard.

Well DH is sick..it could be a cold, it could be allergies. I thought I was getting whatever he has so I began my flonase again...and now I feel ok. And of course he will not take any allergy medication to see if that helps him. In his defence our grands and their mom has felt badly of late.....they all had minor colds.

I just got a call, my God-daughter's 11 year old son has covid along with his 3 year old step-sister.

I got to see the snow this time. It snowed again last night. That's 3 weekends in a row. Can't remember the last time that happened around here.

Sunny, sorry the children have covid but it seems kids recover quickly.
