Salute plurimam dicit. Si vales, bene est, ego valeo.
Many greetings. If you're well, then that's good, and I'm well too.

I go by Kinesic or often "Kin," for short. I am 27 and I live in SLC, Utah. My infatuation with plants started this Christmas when my grandmother gave me an Aloe vera start which my cat promptly killed (I blame her, but I also forgot about it and it was pretty damn dry.)

I ended up going to the store and getting a Golden Pothos to stick in the huge pot she'd given me for my one tiny aloe start. Then that's when I noticed there were a bunch of sickly little looking plants in the clearance section that I decided to pick up to make up for the fact I'd killed the aloe start.

And picking up dying plants from big box stores quickly has become an addiction. I now am the proud caretaker of around 80-90 plants, all within this summer. I've only not been able to revive 2, so I've definitely overshot my goal of making up for the delicate little life I ignored.

I've decided to join this forum today because I'm hoping to get some help identifying some of these, as many of them have not been labelled when I've picked them up, and to get tips from some that don't seem to be flourishing as well as others.

I look forward to my time here. [:

Hi and welcome...sick and dying perennials and shrubs were my hobby. I ended up with a yard full of 'unknowns' because of it.

~~Tam~ You can bury all your troubles by digging in the dirt.
