The lantana plants we purchased this spring have really done well in the heat. The butterflies love them and we'd like to know if there is a preferred way to save them or propagate them for next year. Its gets too cold here in the DC area during the winter to try and overwinter them in the ground.

I'm in a warm climate, NC, and mine come back every year so I've never tried it. Maybe take a cutting and try to root it.

I guess you could also pot them up, take them in and treat them as houseplants and see if they will live over winter.
