Well got it pretty much finished except for the staining or painting. Not sure yet how I want to finish it up yet.

[Linked Image] The guts of it all lol

[Linked Image] The almost finished product.

I just copied a pic from the internet and went from there. Had a little bit of trouble with the new table saw though, too many safety features and guards. Got it figured out now.

More projects to follow, I've got lumber grin

Yup, cream and burgundy with painted flowers. I made the mistake of priming it with oil primer, now I have to wait til I go to town for oil paints.

Well, apparently all enamel paint is not oil. I painted up some designs on the birdhouse and the paint wouldn't cover right. Turns out the base paint is oil enamel and the new decorating paints are acrylic enamel rolz. The designs just wiped off with a wet cloth.

So all in all, this is how it looks so far until I get some more oil enamel paint.

OH< Tamara--I like it just the way it is--I think now all that is in order is some clear type of sealer, so it stays so pretty.

And I too think you should make them & sell them. Or better yet, take orders & only make them up as you have them sold. thumbup

Just a pic Triss, you can see it in the first photo I took. I could measure the pieces for you though if you want.

I took a piece of rebar and was pounding a hole in the ground to put it in when DH came to help. He was standing in the flower bed and had the house in his hand. He looked at me and said, "please tell me that's not my good hockey stick". Nope I told him, he was relieved, it would of been an expensive butterfly house if it was lol
