HI again guys,
I have a question about a yucca plant. I have two and they flowered for the first time this year. One now has seed pods and I dont know what to do with them. I'd love to have more, but I'm at a loss.
PS Thanks to everyone who droped me a line to welcome me, its nice to meet ya'll too!

Try to do what Cindy did (not poke yourself in the eye...I couldn't resistlol) but dig around the plant and cut sections of root that are the thickness of a pencil into 4" sections and plant. I think yucca usually give off pups too

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

I've grown some.
take a milk jug cut top partway off fill with potting mix soak your seeds overnight.boiled water is fine.it will help soften that black seed coating water it well(can do boiled water again) and set jug in shade and over the weeks they should start sprouting.go on and tape it up come fall and can winter it just like that(like WS can sow seeds then same way also)Come spring you can plant them out.I've tried transplanting some from sides of roads.those adams needles?I've gotton 2 to take verses the failures.I got some of the spanish dagger shark kill ya guys too with whiteflowers but the ones I've dug have not started flowering yet.I dug this 6 ft one with tractor and dug a ditch and laid it in(I thought would get a stright grove like shrub...I was intoxicated when thought this too.The tequilia made me do it.)I also got a spineless yucca.its not flowered though for me yet.A piece broke last year so instead of 2 7 ft stalks I got 1 7 ft stalk with bunch of sprouts on sides and the 3 ft piece that broke that I shoved in ground.I'm glad that IT rooted.

only thing you have to watch for is when the seeds are comeing out of seedpod if they seem to be kinda stuck will need to moisten it more with misting and small slight gentle help.I think it happens on older seed more.you can also sprout them in the baggie with papertowel.

I have been poked& spanish dagger is very painful. Its sad that he's sharper than my cutting shears.I bet they'd cut fishing line.
