If I re-plant this fern will it get bigger? It now sits in a 12" dia pot.

Wow! That is a beautiful fern Mosh. I am green with envy, hehe. Is it showing signs of stress, like browning or wilting? Are fronds falling off? If not I would leave it alone for now. It seems to be well established to me in the pic. Just my opinion, maybe some others now more about ferns than I do, mine live outside in the garden lol.

Surely it would get bigger if in a bigger pot, but I would be afraid of damamging it trying to get it changed!! That is the most beautiful fern I have ever seen!!!! (I'm with patty....what fern?? You're rather cute too!) Is that puca (pucca?) beads you're wearing?

I'd say leave it alone if its doing well. Only go bigger when you need to like Uni said.

I have ferns growing in the ground with my Hostas and they have multiplied and spread alot this season. I dug up enough to fill a 5 gallon plastic pot. My son in law has been wanting a fern so Im going to give that to him. If you would want to have two ferns instead of one, I say why not divide it and repot them both. If u had such good luck with one Im sure you will with two....good luck

It has been real hot here in Nebraska, so I plan to put it in a larger pot when it cools down a bit. I didn't know you could split ferns, thanks for the info. I will post a pic and let everyone know how it comes out. BTW I got my necklace in Australia, I have friends that live down there.
