My all time favorite butterfly is a clear bright yellow with no markings.
It's the same bright, clear, unclouded yellow color as a Tang fish.
I have never once seen this butterfly sit still, they always fly quickly in and out of the yard.
Does anyone know what it is?

It sounds like some kind of Sulphur, sometimes they have a small rust colored eyespot on the wings.

I have a southern dogface, they stay busy in flight too.that was not an easy creature to shoot a shot of.with moveing she'd barely see the markings.I caught my markings cause got a decent shot that was barely good enough for an ID.I get cloudless sulphers also in aug/sept.

Thanks, everyone.
But, she doesn't look like any of these.
She's just completely clear BRIGHT yellow. No markings at all UNLESS of course there are very faint markings that I can't see.
But my impression is that there are no markings. It's hard to describe how brightly yellow this butterfly is.
If you know what a Tang fish looks like, that's what this butterfly looks like.

I don't have smilies anymore, or I'd have added the laughing face.
I wonder why I don't have them anymore?
Anyway, please know that I'm only teasing back ! :0)
