That is a weed. They pull up easier when the ground is wet. They pop up everywhere.

Yup, a weed, but I keep a few plants/ I believe its called a common plantain, the juice of the leaves releives itching
Helping the world one seed at a time When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

thank you buzz lady(by the buzz...i like the name...buzzlady. ) and Kenny i thank you very much. i was wondering but wasn t sure,so it in fact is a weed; but it s so cute, is it allright if i leave it there, will it come bigger than that ?? i guess we just have to boil the leaves to have the juice of it to stop the itch, how xactly would you do that/ Thanks again and hope to read you soon. Franny.

To get the soothing effects you take one cup of boiling water. Then take as many plantain leaves as you want or need, depends on how much you need.Chop the leaves until the juice is surfacing then mix with your boiling water. Then you strain the leaves out and use the water to make a compress for your itchy spots.Almost forgot you soak for 10mins.then strain the leaves.

I have one growing to. Did not yank it out of the garden because I didn't know what it was and now I'm glad I didn't. Thanks Franny for posting it. If it has as many good traits as it says it does I will leave it be.
