That is a quilt that I made for my nephew. I make one for each of my nieces/nephews. I've got a few other quilts that it seems I never took pics of, so I'll post those later.

I love that postcard, by the way!

Thanks for posting the pictures for me.

Wrennie, you make some wonderful things. Whoever gets them is very lucky.

LandofOz, your quilt looks very complicated. I admire anyone who can make that quilt!

Dodge,

I've made things with my serger also. Can you post a few pictures? I'll post some pictures also in a few days.

I made a baby blanket for Diane's grandson with my serger. Maybe she'll repost her picture of the blanket.

Glenda, the quilt was entirely paper-pieced and was my first paper piecing project. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can. I never got a finished pic because my sister just had to have her baby 3 months early. I was in such a hurry to finish it that I never got an final pic.

I love the quilt for your grandson, Glenda. That is so neat, I really love asian decor. You all are so talented, I can't wait to see more pics.

I did a non-traditional double wedding ring quilt, queen size, entirely by hand and vowed to never ever do that again. Way too much work!

The quilt for my grandson was one of the easiest I have done. Five fabrics made into 16 inch, 3 piece blocks. It went together very fast. I won't say how many times I took the binding off (4!) before I got it on the way it should be.

I never have, and never will, make a hand-quilted quilt. Anyone who does has both my admiration and my sympathy.

I have a bunch of cat print fabrics I've been collecting and saving forever. Realistic kitties, cartoon kities, lion & tiger big kitties, leopard etc print, paw prints. Just abiut 1/4 yard of each, a few repeats. I was thinking of doing a purr quilt but maybe a 9 patch would be better?? Squares???

   what a purfect typo! I meant a PUFF quilt.... purr lol cat lol

Aren't puff quilts made from squares?

I think a puff quilt would be "purfect" for your kitty fabrics. That way you can cut squares so we can see the fabric pattern easier. It would be a great way for all to know it is a cat quilt!

I make alot of quilts with just blocks, easy and quick. I can make a quillow quilt in a day. If I was smart I'd buy some material on clearance and start making them for Christmas gifts. Might put that on a 'to do list'.

Here's a few pics of quilts I made last winter. I varnished a piece of material to the back of a clear plate to match.

This one is a quillow that folds inside the big deer head panel pillow.

[Linked Image]

This one reverses to the nice green floral print for spring.

This was a bed cover which I created with the straight needle machine.
Cut squares and zig zag stiched the design on top......I like Hawaiian designs.
Where I got the pattern.

These doll were all sewed by me with my serger and my straight machine.
I made the dolls as well as the clothes.. All hemming was serged first then turned and straight machine......I used the serger for all the inside joinings and the dolls bodies where I cold..........'

To do hems , just serge it first turnup, iron and straight stitch.

Just did those this year......from pattens and scraps. :ding:

All this talk about sewing has gotten me in the mood to sew also. I had company all day and couldn't get near my sewing machine. egad

Oh well, tomorrow I have two sewing classes; one is an ongoing class for a quilt that is blocks of costumes for a boy paper doll. I've been working on it for over a year! zoink

The second class is to teach me about the new embroidery program I got a few weeks ago.
