They should not get much taller but they do fill out thicker and bloom prolifically. And they will reseed also for more bloom next year.

I'm thinking they are an annual chrysanthemum with gold or golden in the name.

Hi again, Dodge! Is it Melampodium? I don't know if it has a common name or not. Mine are 18 inches tall and wide, but started out looking like yours. I have them planted with some dark purply blue petunias ands ome of those Bush Morning Glories that are yellow centered with a white ring and purpley blue edges...the variety 'Dwarf Ensign'. The combination is fantastic! Melampodium has odd seeds -- when you find a dead flower, see if the seeds don't remind you of little Grape Nuts (the cereal) They are really dry and sort of square-ish...well, they have flat sides like Grape Nuts LOL!

I thin the melanapodium is correct.. callin it butter daisy like and aster. We have a wild aster that grows here .....Purple. If that spreads, it is only an annual.. Thanks
