I was curious to know if there were any other Harry Potter fans around. I can hardly wait until the book comes out, I'll be sitting at home and will probably finish the book in one day.
I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies (and we have all the ones out). I will one of these days. I know I will really enjoy them. I'm kind of waiting until I'm in the right frame of mind. And have lot's of time because when I start reading a series that grabs me, I don't come up for air.

I was intorduced to HP in grade 3, the teacher read the first book to the class. I do love the books, but I've lost interest over the years. I'm still looking forward to the reading the book, but not liely to be reading it soon, saving for the book right now! I like the movies, though they are a bit disappointing. I guess my imagination is too bold?! I would definately see the movies. Tina, you're going to love them if you like magic and 'weird' fairy tale like things!

I'm a huge book reader, and Harry Potter is on the top of my list of favorite topics/authors.. I already have the new book pre-ordered, and should have it here the day or the day after it is released.. Don't ask me details about the book, I haven't read the last one[s] since it[they] came out..
I don't like the movies at all .. I feel they ruin the books alltogether...
Mark, I have mine pre ordered also. I pre ordered it as soon as they anounced the release date. And I also haven't read the last one since it came out but I'll probably re read it next week so that I'm not too lost for memory when I get the new one. I still like the movies but they are definately no where near as good as the books.
we got the book pre orderd too, morasha and me will be at the midnight madness at the bookstore we always go to the book store at midnight for the harry potter book release, the only book we do this for its crazy! but fun, there are some kids with way to much time on their hands .cant belive this is the last book! waaaaaaa we just watched the movie tonight, there never as good as the books, i blame that on the directors who want to make it their movie instead of being true to a book, i guess if you never read the books,,,the movies are good but,,if you have read the books the movies are disapointing,
Us, too!! My daughter and I love the HP books. Except, she got really mad when Sirius Black was killed, and won't let herself get hopeful about the last book. We're worried about who is going to get killed.
She has a friend with a very interesting, and well supported, theory about Dumbledore. Is anyone interested in hearing it!

I like the Harry Potter Video games, but I never did really get into the books or movies....I watched the first 2 movies and that's it, never read the books at all and I love to read.
It just never appealed to me like it does to some.
Mom has it preordered though for my nephew. He's read them all.
My daughter, the oldest (27) is an avid fan. She is among the many who are inline at midnight at the book store to get her latet reserved copy!!
dose your book store have the festival harry potter thing? ours dose! all the kids dress up as characters, and they have a judging for it, games and prizes, and crafts to do wile waiting for your book, there's way too many people for a line so when you get there you get in line for a number, then at midnight they call out numbers like 1-50,,50-100 etc and if your numbers in there, then you get in line for the book, its a long process but fun, lucky they do this in the mall so there's room for everyone!
Me and my sister and brother love the Harry Potter books and moves. My sister is a midnight line jockey. Not me I'm 13yrs. older than my siblings,so I'm at work while they stand in line.I my self am 30yrs olds but I still love the use of imagination .

You know Christy, I THINK she goes to Borders, But I don't know about that for sure of if they dress up where she goes--she is coming over today, so I am going to ask her about all of that------

I don't do the midnight thing. I have trouble staying up that late. I will be going to the book store first thing Saturday morning though. We've got all kinds of theories and ideas about what's going to happen in this book. I'll find out in a few days if we were right or wrong about any of it.
Cheryl: From what the news said tonight, you just need to get on the internet & you will be able to find out waht the last book is all about--well at least how it ends--

I've successfuly converted my b/f into a Harry Potter fan. He's reading book six right now and wants me to pick him up his own copy of book 7 so he can read it right away and not have to wait for me. He's obsessed now and wants to know what happens. He even said that tomorrow would just be a reading day.
Amy was at a diner last night with friends from her theater group right next to a Barnes and Noble. Don was going to let her buy the book when he picked her up at 12:15a.m., but the line was sooooooooooooooooo long that he said forget it!
Oh, well... she'll just have to wait for me to get it cheaper at COSTCO!
good thing my mom pre-ordered it... saves me all the trouble, the crowds, and I get it delivered to my house the day it came out! What's better than that!?

I did!
I'm already about 200 pages [through Chapter 8] into the book...
We went and got our books at midnight. The line wasn't too long, I was glad I pre ordered at the smaller store and not one of the big ones. I'm almost done with chapter 24, on page 499. Read almost 200 pages on Friday night/Saturday morning. Stayes up until almost 5am. Then I got up yesterday at about 10:30 and started reading and read most of the day until my b/f made me stop so we could eat and run some errands. Now I'm at work but I don't have too much to do today so I'm going to hurry to get my paper work done and hopefully I'll have the bood finished tonight.
I finished my Harry Potter book late Monday night. My daughter and one of her coworkers were racing me and I won!!

She'll never be able to top Harry Potter. It was just too big and it's what made her famous.
So what'd you think jayhawk? I thought it was great. I won't say what I thought about the ending though because I don't want to give away any hints to Mark.
I'm a good 500 pages in... I just finished reading the part with Malfoy Mansion.. Still s-s-l-l-o-o-w-w-l-l-y-y making my way to the end! And i've been reading it like crazy too!
