I need some advice on an orchid I have that has a new plant growing from between a couple of leaves at the top of the plant. The new plant has roots and looks perfectly healthy. Do I take it off and put it in orchid growing medium, or leave it attached? The 'parent' plant is also in good health.

If it’s a ‘keiki’ all you need to do is wait until the new roots develop and then pot up separately. Here is a link that shows you, step by step, how to do so:

Thanks, I did check the easy orchids site and it was helpful. The orchid is a Dendrobium, and I can't remember what the flower looks like. The keiki in the photos is different from mine, but I'm guessing the directions will apply. Thanks again!

I do love orchid flowers and hope that your baby keiki eventually grows into a healthy adult plant!
