I went to clean the pump the other day and imagine my surprise when I almost grabbed THIS!

[Linked Image]

I very carefully cleaned it without damaging the eggs....put it all back together and stuck it back in.

Well today I was moving some decorations around and found this under one of them!

Makes me wonder if there are more....I'm gonna be a snail mommy. Last year when they laid their eggs and they hatched they were so teeny tiny!

Yeh, but you buy these snails to keep your pond clean! lol

And my pond needs a lot of cleaning. lol

Last year when I didn't know what they were it freaked me out, but this year I know and I'm excited because the snails cost $2 each at Walmart.

Congrats on the new addition to your snail-family. Thanks for posting pics, now if my snails lay eggs, I'll know what to look for.

My snail laid eggs, somewhere, and I now have pretty big babies. Do your snail grow quickly? My snails are probably quickly approaching the size of a dime. But, there is an abundance of algae in my pond.

Mine haven't even hatched open yet.....last year when they did they were TEENY tiny for a long time. Like the size of a pencil top eraser. Not sure how many are in each egg sac. I'd say at least 25.

Okay, I keep looking and looking for snail eggs and I never seem to be able to find them, despite the fact that I've gone from 1 snail to about 11-13ish. Come to find out, my snails don't lay eggs but have live birth, how weird is that?
