Yippee! I just learned how to cut and paste my photos here! I wantd to share a shot of our weaver. He's a widower this year. Poor guy, all dreassed up and no one to impress. He's been in his summer color for a few weeks. The Cordon Blues are so cute together. Even after the male dislocated a wing, the female follows him and sleeps next to him.

I think that might have been too big. Sorry. And I'm still working on getting the pic of the weaver in full color.

Aaaargh! Those be finches, sez I, Jonni. Fancy Finches, not to be found in the wild in the States, but like ye be finding in some tropical country.
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes.. EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)

Me likes the Finches, Sez I! Me little lady be lovin' the Society Finches. Me favorite Finches be the Zebra Finches.

Zebras? For some reason their chirps become irritating to me. Societies are fun and flity? flighty? fliterty? they fly around a lot! What kind of finch does the little lady keep?
