Beautiful animals! Be glad your cats aren't hunters. Mischa is and we often find halves of mice and birds in the house with the occasional rambunctious chipmunk, once a snake and once a frog in the animals' water dish! We have a pet door and aparently he prefers dining inside.
I had a lab, Chelsey, who looks alot like your Oscar, grey in the snout. I have a cat named Hunter who thinks real mice are a never ending wind up toy and would also starve in the 'wild'. And my cousin had a cat named Ginger, a very shy little girl. Are you my long lost cyber(pet owner) twin?
That pic of Oscar is making me really miss my Chelsey.
My Oscar is a rescue labradorish. He's 13 years old. I lost my Australian Shepard Coco Chanel last year one month shy of 15. I am so impressed with his longetivity being such a big boy. He's 108 lbs. His legs and joints are in pretty good shape.
Wrennie my first dog was named Charlie. I found him and brought him home, (I was five). My first cat was Sam a siamese. He was against our front porch on a rainy morning so I let him in. (I was six). If you own a horse named Jet, I'd say you were a pet owning cyber twin and that would kind of freak me out!
I had a black german shepherd named Samantha (sammy) My chelsey I got when she was around 9 years old. Owner had to get rid of her. Never had a horse. But for freaky my parents almost named me Sarah.
My ginger caught a bird once. Two sparrows were having a fight and flew right into her foot. She put her foot down on it and it squwacked an flew away. She was so proud.
The birds in my yard have pretty much figured out they are pathetic. ;)

that's a good thing. i saw a special where they tracked domestic cats for a while, and when they did, the ones they tracked were pretty ruthless.
