I really wish the camera worked for this one.

the Egyptian Walking Onion that I planted in the composted bed has become a monster. There is no other way to describe it. It is poking out of the ground and there appear to be 3 major separations in the white part and now they are starting to separate and all of the separations are putting up blades. But there are no flowers forming.

Should/Can I dig it up and separate it and have each one become a new plant? Or is it just one humongus plant? Will it flower and if so when?

I guess I shouldn't have planted it in 100% compost huh.

I have them and have moved or divided them at various times of year. Never saw mine bloom. I would assume there are some bulblets in there and not just one BIG bulb.
