I planted some Tigridia or "Mexican Shellflower" last year. They are starting to bloom this year, and I thought I'd post a few pictures. I love them--they're so beautiful!
This one bloomed today. :cheer:
This one has already wilted and gone away. It went into bloom yesterday, and it's already gone! I read on a website that the blooms only last for a day or so. The common name of these is "Mexican Shellflower." [/quote]
So do it. I love them! I didn't buy more corms this year when I saw them for sale--next year, if I am lucky enough, I will. It's a shame that I didn't buy more when I had the chance.
beauitful pics i grow them too lucky you can keep them in the ground all year, with my zone i gotta dig em up every year, but i love em so their worth the extra work
