What will stop scale in its tracks?
I have a few spots on a mini eucalypt I'm raising from seed, and a few spots on my peppermint.

Looked up in my natural gardening book. It says that scale looks like crust is actually the larvae of scale insects. To fix this is says to mix one cup of vegetable oil and one tablespoon of Murphy's Oil Soap with two cups of water and shake good. Put in a hand held sprayer and spray from top to bottom shaking bottle from time to time to keep the oil mixed. It also says to repeat the process in seven days and the scale babies will never wake up. Hope this helps. CJ

add a little alcohol, it will dry out the bugs once the shell is penetrated.

I heard if the problem is few, you can dip a q-tip into rubbing alchol and touch each individual insect

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

Thanks, all, but guess what I had to do-I threw the plant out. I felt that I couldn't risk the rest of my beautiful container garden.
