Here's our trip to Cobourg yesterday - we also visited Port Hope and Bowmanville.

Cobourg looks like a nice quiet little town, a perfect place to write poetry and a perfect setting for stories! I want to go sometime! Thanks for sharing the pics...is that statue of winston Churchill?

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

No - it's nobody in particular - just the artist's conception of how a businessman would have looked at the turn of the century.

Cobourg isn't hard to get to - you could take the go train out to Oshawa, and take a bus from there.

Yes - a great place to write poetry, Kenny.

We'll do Collingwood one of these days - I want to visit those caves up there - I've never been to the caves.

I don't think I have - maybe when I was little and don't remember it.

I'm going to discuss this with Jeff.

Maybe we could do another out-of-town in August or so.

Well, I dunno' when we're going to get away next.

I've done Wasaga Beach many times.

I don't know if I've been to Owen Sound - possible when I was a kid and don't remember - we travelled all of Ontario then. My father liked motor trips.

My daughter and I were there 2 summers ago - we rented a cottage for 4 days.

I loved swimming there.

OK - how's your Canada Day going? Is it cool up north - we've had cool breezes all day - just went out and did our shopping. It was a pleasure to be outdoors.

We're not going to the events at the beach - not with all that talk about being on the terrorists' hit list the other day. Our major beaches would be a likely target on days like today.
