Strawberry jam is my FAVORITE and I love making it!

In Ohio, the strawberry season is far earlier than it is here and there are many very nice "pick your own" strawberry fields. Oh boy, the berries you could get and the jars you could fill! It always seemed so delicious in December to open a Jar of Jam from May...

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

I make it in summer although the season is far later here in Maine than it is in Ohio.

Hi Tamara. I woke up about 6:30 also. Why why why? Once I'm up thats it tho. I'm afraid if I fall back asleep I'll oversleep. And I feel just as bad if not worse than if I just get up.

Gee, I'm up before or at 6 am every morning. I'm not a good sleeper. Wish I was. I get so tired around 8 pm.

I'm good Rita, just trying to figure out what I should do today. I have a never ending list. I also have to call and rent a wood splitter, need to split the rest to pile in my shed.

It's 46*F out there at the moment. I only have a cord left to split, I hauled it out late after I returned the splitter last fall. I love those little gas splitters and it's only $6 an hour to rent, so cool.

Oh my, they announced on the news they found remains of a child in the woods in my province. They have identified them of a 3 year old girl from Maine, how sad.

Read this, it's what I found on the story. They think the child drowned.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine --Child welfare workers have taken a baby away from a woman whose 3-year-old daughter is missing and feared drowned in the Aroostook River.

Early Friday, four law enforcement officers and two Department of Health and Human Services workers arrived at Mandy Wright's Fort Fairfield apartment overlooking the fast-moving river to take away her daughter, 1-year-old Cassidy Paradis.

Wright's 3-year-old daughter, Alexandria Winship-Wright, went missing Wednesday after being left unattended while Wright went to the bathroom, she told police. When the 21-year-old mother returned, the girl was missing and a sliding glass door was open.

Searchers immediately zeroed in on the raging, flooded river, where searchers found two pink boots downstream.

Searchers were back at the river in a boat and on the riverbank on foot Saturday, a day after 18 divers from the Maine Warden Service, Maine State Police and the Maine Marine Patrol battled fast currents, icy temperatures and low visibility.

"These conditions are not ideal," said Maine Warden Capt. Joel Wilkinson, who was leader of the dive team. "These are as bad of conditions as we could ask for."

The episode wasn't the first time Alexandria had gone missing. Last week, she was found, unattended, 500 yards from he home, police said.

On the day Alexandria again went missing -- Wednesday -- Wright's 5-year-old daughter, Whitney, was handed over to her biological father after he was granted custody, police said. The father has not been identified.

Because the case is confidential, DHHS officials could not explain why baby Cassidy was removed. But Dan Despard, director of Child Welfare Services, said the department must prove there is threat of serious harm -- physical, emotional, psychological, or some form of neglect -- in order to remove a child from the home.

"If it's immediate removal, it has to be an immediate threat of serious harm," he said from his office in Augusta.
