Okay, I know it's not a peppermint plant. When I saw this plant, somehow it reminded me of peppermints and I had to have it. I knew what it was but did not know it was a Kong!

Kong Coleus. I hadn't heard of them until now. I absolutely love it!

Want to get a discussion rolling on Kong Coleus? Anyone have any? The card states shade. I've had it three days and it already is flowering. Of course I pinched back, want to enjoy the four shades of Kong Coleus. Card also states the spread may be up to 10 inches per leaf! Wow! shock

I am new here. I have one that has red in the middle and green on the outer leaves. I have a picture of mine but I do not know how to post a picture here yet. I have bought mine 2 months ago and intend it to go inside my new home. I have had to transplant it three times already.

Thanks,

Carla

I didn't know that they came in 4 different shades. I had that one for 2 months, transplanted 3 times and getting ready to transplant again to a much bigger pot. I intend to bring this in during winter. I also have a Pink Chaos Coleus. I keep mine in the shade but it does get the morning sun until 12 noon. I don't have much shade where I am at temporarily. My house burnt back in January 11, 2007 and I am going to move back in August when the new house arrives. This plant is my thepary right now, lol!!

Mine is being "ate up" with aphids. My grandmother told me to put some Dawn dishwashing in some water and spray the plant all over good. My grandmother has some great plants. She tells me that my mother passed her green thumb to me!

Rosepetal, thanks!

Penny in ontario, thanks, let us know if/when you get one. We'd love to see it.

CarlaH0318,
Sounds like your Kong is doing great since you had to transplant 3 times. I hope I have the same luck with mine. Thanks for showing yours. Nice pic! Show us your Pink Chaos Coleus. Thanks for sharing your dawn/water combo tips. Did it work on those asphids?

Thanks, pinkhorse.

Others with Kong Coleus info they may want to share with us? Pics, info, etc. etc. are more than welcome. flwr

I haven't seen any more aphids since spraying the plant with a DAWN/water mixture. Here is a picture of my pink chaos coleus.
