Hello!

I have a Jade plant that I have had for several years now (6-7). Last year I was in the hospital for about 2 months and when I got home the plant was sick. Some of the leaves had black spots on them, and the worst of the black spots had fungus growing on them.

I thought it might be from over-watering, so I didn't water it more than once every other month since then. By now it has lost most of its leaves, and a couple branches :(

What can I do? Don't tell me it's a lost cause!

first, get rid of anything that has fungus on it.

second, trim back the branches - not all the way, just about 1/3 or so. you can put the cut pieces right into the soil of that pot or in another pot and they'll root - just let the cut edges scab over for a day or so before you put them in the soil.

get back to your usual watering routine and the main plant should start to recuperate and start sprouting new growth along what's left of the branches.

oh, the one pic is way too big (i have cable so no problem for me...those with dial up will have a problem) so please resize it.
