OK I'm VERY new to gardening, and I started a nice little organic veggie garden in my back yard, and everthing has been
growing beautifully but I am noticing that my plant stalks, just below the surface, look like they are being chewed up, rotted, infected, diseased....something ain't right! This is mostly on my peppper plants, and a little bit on my tomato plants. I'm thinking it's not disease, but pest related since the rest of the plant is fine, its just the base of the stalk. When I do pull it back to look, it seems like there are lots of little bugs scattering.
It looks like they have whitish pestules
growing, bumpy, and like I said just kind of rotten. The plants are doing fine now, but I'm worried about them lasting through the summer!
Can anyone help me trouble shoot? Looking for organic solutions...
If I can take a pic tonight and post it, I will, sure that would help.
Thanks!!!
