My red dinnerplates were a little slower than the blush pink ones to bloom and show.

Anyway, my red dinnerplates finally made their entrance! flwr

As I type this info, the blooms have already folded. tears I think I have a few more blooms on the bush though. The pinks only lasted a day per bloom and the reds are doing the same. Does anyone know if this is standard for dinnerplate hibiscus? rolz

I have a double peach and they've never lasted more than a day. I assumed it was typical. Also, my red does the same. Too bad! They're so beautiful I'd love to have them indoors longer than one day.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that the hibiscus flowers only last a day for all colors - what a shame for so much to show!

Very nice picture!

Yep--they just last a day. I even have 2 tropical ones that do the same. I do fertilize mine a lot once they start blooming, bt our soil is so bad I have to.

Wow.. those are so pretty. I can't wait for mine to bloom.. I took a picture of it tonight.. it has sooo many stalks. I should count them. lol

Does anyone know where you can buy these?? I have to find more.. and can't. I found seeds for them on ebay.. why Mine is from a bulb.. so I don't know about the seed business. I got mine from Wal Mart several years ago.. but I have never seen any more..

If anyone knows, please PM me.. I would love to do a row of them... like a hedging of sorts.
