Well, we've been digging and it's going pretty well. It's not going to be enormous, maybe 10 x 15 (including a winding small stream). The preformed pond that is there will be removed soon but the plants will remain. The top portion that is boarded off will be a plant bog. I'll be buff by the time it is finished <g>.

Very cool, I like the idea of a small winding stream like that!

I can't wait to see finished pictures....keep up the hard work, it'll all be worth it when it's done!

Thanks! My hubby wanted me to stand in the "hole in process" so we could show how deep it is. NOT...then you could tell how wide I am too <vbg>. I'll post a few more pics later.

This looks exciting! How about an island?

All these pond photos have inspired me to post one of ours. Course I may have to wait for our youngest child to show me how. Too sad. But, barring a fit of forgetfullness, I may remember it long enough to share. I'm so excited to be here! I want to play too!

Yep....by hand with a shovel. My dh has secondary progressive MS so he can't dig much. He did dig part of the stream though.

It's been in the 90's here lately so I haven't made much more progress. If we pick up the liner today maybe we can get it in about 6:00 AM before it hits 85!

No, no new pics yet. We do have the liner and planned on putting it in this weekend. If it stops raining we should be able to get it in. I will try to get more pics today or tomorrow.

Thanks for checking!

Okay, liner is in, water is in!! The area still looks like a construction site but dh is going to take pics tomorrow. Now I have to get more plants LOL!!

I put the goldfish in the fish tank in the house yesterday so we could remove the old pond. They were pissed. Fins all stuck out and big eyes. They'll forgive us when they're back in the new and improved pond though.

Oh btw... I HATE mud!

wow! My dh has been trying to get me to agree to a pond for awhile now. I haven't seen one I like as well as this one. The shape is beautiful. Great work!
