I hope someone can help me. I'm new to gardening. I have a lot of ivy beds in my backyard. I want to keep them nice, but I am have problems with weeds growing in the beds. From what I read, weed killer will kill the ivy as well. I've been doing my best to pull them, but obviously they are growing right back. Does anyone know how I can get rid of these weeds?

Pull the weeds and then mulch with shredded hardwood bark mulch. Then water with a hose (not a sprinkler) to get the mulch sort of worked down. It will also clear off enough of the ivy leaves so they keep on keepin' on. You will have a LOT of mulch showing, but it will get covered over quickly enough.
