#16 and 17 are the same. #17 shows the leaf more clearly (the flowers haven't bloomed yet). #16 are the blossoms.

#22 is a close up of #21. The flowers are about 1.5cm across. They have a scent that resembles the leaves of the screwpine plant.

Hi Nur wavy

#16/17 is Chrysothemis pulchella ("Copper Leaf")
Family: Gesneriaceae

Some of the others look quite familiar,
but my poor tired old brain won't cooperate at the moment. rolz

Hi Nur, I've been peeking into your album "flowers II" again. grin

Thought I'd take another stab at a couple of them.
#2 maybe
Brownea macrophylla
Family: Fabaceae-caesalpinioideae
"rose-of-Venezuela"

and #15, possibly
Syzygium jambos (Eugenia jambos)
Family: Myrtaceae
"rose apple, Malabar Plum"

Still drawing a blank on the others at the moment. rolz

edit to add:
I just cannot shake the sense that #1
is a Begonia flower of some type.
I wonder if someone at a site that focused on Begonias
might be able to confirm or deny that much,
and possibly even recognize it, specifically? why

Hi Nur...

i have most of the plants but do not know their botanical name...however 21 n 22 are pics of Kesidang...(is it called that in your place..?)...or Vallaris glabra....BTW do u know that 18/19 can b used s vegetable....? they r also called ...unofficially i think... Malaysian Ginseng...if u pull out da roots... look very much like Ginseng roots..... can b boiled n da water drunk... for what ailment/disease m not sure tho.... hope our local concerned people can study it...

i agree with zuzu... 1 looks soo much like Begonia....

i believe that somewhere in da darkest night...a candle glows,
i believe for every drop of rain that falls...a flower grows....

Hello Zuzu wavy

#2 looks similar to Brownea macrophylla, but there's a subtle difference that I can't really pinpoint.

The leaves of #15 is considerably different to the leaves of Syzygium jambos. And if I'm not mistaken, the last time I saw its fruits (I rarely take notice of this tree), they didn't resemble the fruits of Syzygium jambos.

#1 could be Begonia. But then again, I have very limited knowledge on Begonias.

Hmm... As for now, nothing is definite just yet. why

Thanks for the help ;)

Hi Norhaini ;)

Thanks for identifying 21 and 22. Oh, it's called Kesidang? I didn't know that.. My aunt just referred to it as bunga pandan, since it smells much like pandan leaves. But the first time I encountered it, it reminded me of the scent of bunga rampai used in weddings. flwr

Oh, by the way, I have moved some of the photos, hence the photos in "flowers II" have been renumbered. 18 and 19 are now 8 and 9 respectively.

I didn't know that #8 is also used as vegetable, but #9, yes. My aunt told me that it has some medicinal values, and one of them is to treat bloody stool. Unfortunately, she too doesn't know what it's called. why
