Howdy All!

I just had a quick question on the Asparagus Fern (did I spell that right?). One of my relatives grows this plant, and was repotting, and discovered little sac-like things in the roots. We thought they would grow, so we planted them. Will this work? What are the sac-things? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

The Question is not Who will Let me, but Who will Stop me.

The roots have large nodules filled with water which allow it to survive during the period of drought. Divide the asparagus fern with the nodules and roots attached, then repot. They are hardy and will bounce back. Just so you'd know, aspargus fern is considered an invasive plant in some states. Although I have some in pots, they also grow every where in my front and back yards. I tried killing those out of the pots; I thought I did; they are back.

Ditto on the spreading problem. I've imprisoned mine in a large pot.
