Just wonder how many have a messy computer desk like mine? I put all my reminders and addresses in a large note book......But still have a large mess on top to deal with......
Ha, mine is so messy now I'm totally embarrased....
All important stuff gets thrown into a wooden in/out box...piled high...who knows what's where....I have 4 empty soda cans on the top, 2 empty water bottles, 2 empty packs of cigs, computer game disks, scraps of paper, my camera, mp3 player, ashtray, phone, battery charger, and a big thing I bought for organization....that wooden orginization thing is stuffed so full of "junk" I'm scared to look in there.
Time to clean up.
I clean it up about every other day...I've slacked, it's been 3 days since I've cleaned it....
Yes.......... I do a lot with my mess...... YOu would be suprised...........Scanner comes in Handy.........Old computer did too , it just fixed my camera........Initilizing it ......Wouldn't work.. SOme one from sweden said hook it up to the old computer>>>>>>Low and behold they were correct......
My desk is one of those multi-tiered things. I had to take 1 shelf out---(tower too tall) so I have tower & a 5 drawer plastic thing on the bottom shelf--- On desk-level shelf-- I have my bills,-(in 2 seperate letter holders)- a basket of address labels & stuff on it, several note cubes & various sized sticky notes, an address box (used to be a recipe box) paper clip magnet box, tape-phone--dictionary--garden helper book (home-made but it is not as neat as shirley's "files") 2 mini plastic 3 drawer boxes for things like pencils, pens, markers, papers, etc, more tablets-& 1 CD?floppy disc holder-- I have an under shelf extension for the keyboard & a long shelf across the top of the shelf that holds the monitor, speakers & one day will hold a printer & scanner. (i do have a printer on the old computer in the basement)---
and neat--is not the word i would use for any of it---(some is in drawers--so it is deceiving)

Golly---Shirley---you did that?? You most surely do do ceramics--and do them quite well. I may do OK--but that piece is exquisite. I bow to your abilities.

Their are 5 PC's in the picture, the one to the right of the Monitor is my Mandriva Linux box where I do just about everything from, notice thegardenhelper.com on the screen. To the right of that is a Windows2000 box, I use it as a backup and just in case I need Windows for something, this is going to be the new firewall. To the left under the small monitor is the IPCop Linux firewall, I used to use it to write firewall software on, on the floor below the printer is the old firewall it has quit working. To the left of the desk on the floor is an extra PC that will be used for the the New Wondows PC, and for backups. Inbetween you can see the Modem, switch, and print server, plus most of my junk.
When I get time I am going to move the desk and all the PC, some are going inro the closet so I have more room.
One OS to rule them, one OS to find them: One OS to bring them all and in the darkness bind them in the Land of Redmond where the shadows lie.
holy hannah, i look like a clean freak, in comparison, but ya gotta know, somewhere in this trainwreck of my desk is a bag of dove chocolates, and i haven't seen them in a month! and i have been looking! (i am afraid to wake the dustbunnies tho, they can get mean) :)
