i managed to take a few pics of my hummers.
they are real skittish at the sound of the camera and kept flying off!

im kinda happy they are here, wat earlier than last year.
and nothing is in bloom.wonder if thats why they dont seem to be chasing much. low food supply? ive heard they get along when theres not much to eat.

Those are some marvelous pics. How close were you to those beauties? Wow. Those are great pics. Really. I think I'm drooling. I'm going to fill my hummer feeder right now and set it out.

Those are fantastic pictures. Such beautiful birds! Last night I was sitting at my computer and looked out to see an Oriole at my sunflower. I reached for my camera only to find that my daughter had removed the batteries to use in her MP3 player! No pictures for me.

I've been thinking about putting hummingbird feeders out. I love them.

sorry,i didnt get back here till just now.
i use a pentax k100d with a 70-300 lense.
im kinda new with it and was fooling around with shuyyer speeds and f-stops
so im not really sure what settings i had with each pic.

Very very nice!

I am also new with the camera and after a bit of experimenting have some really great pictures of hummers on my feeders. I have a 70-300 lens too and man is that thing sweet! Nice to be able to stand back a bit and still zoom right in on them. Now if the shutter didn't click quite so loud lol.
