Those are very pretty! I have something very similar. Might even be the same but mine is a hardy hibiscus!

Stephanie, those pictures are just beautiful. I've never heard of dinnerplates, what kind of plant is it?

How about a big overall picture if you can, I'd love to see the complete plant, I'm totally fascinated.

Absolutely stunning!!!

I cannot grow them - the woodchucks make a tasty treat of them - but really enjoyed looking at your pictures - beautiful!

Thanks Penny!

Jessica, Thanks. Would love to see pics of yours. So yours does not die back then?

Rosepetal,
Thanks. it's a hibiscus. They are called dinnerplates as they are much larger than standard hibiscus. Dinnerplate hibiscus range in size from 8" to 12".

joclyn,
Thanks!

Lynn, thank you too! Sorry your cannot grow these in your area. I've been enjoying them for sure. I did notice the flower lasts only a day. tears

I'm waiting for my red dinnerplate to do it's thing. You know I'll post them too when they make their entrance. lol flwr
