Thank you Tonya. I do not know the name of that cactus. I Cannot leave the red cactus or my other succulents out all winter in my zone but this area is my zone denial summer area. LOL!!!

I was also going to ask if you left that other cactus outside in your zone - thanks for answering it for me!

I am also posting a picture I took today of my prickly pears in my thread - it still only has buds though.

I think I should correct my answer. I did leave the other cactus out but we had a mild winter. I had enough to experiment. It is planted in Pine needles and rocks no soil in that area. I will not know for sure if it is hardy until we have a real winter.
