May 19, 2007 zone 7a they Chinese Lanterns are in bloom. I feel like I should come back here and tell you when the seed pods form since that's the real show for this plant lol.

June 15, 2007 zone 7a the Chinese Lanterns have begun forming the seed pods. They are green right now but I wanted to add this information since it is usually the seed pod that is of interest rather than the flower. I'll post again when they begin to turn orange.

I'm sorry Penny. I broke the camera. Maybe Weezie can get a picture of hers in season. She has a nice sized patch.
