OK - I have never EVER in the many years that I have been feeding both "seed eating" birds and hummers, seen a squirrel do THIS before!!!
Are there no lengths that they will not go to, to get at the food I put out for the birds???

(I must admit that this is a VERY CLEVER squirrel to think to tip the hummer feeder to get a sweet drink - but he's gonna drive ME to drink!

Wow! That is one determined squirrel! I can't blame you for being really annoyed and frustrated!

"my" squirrel/s have it made in the shade---I have to put my wild bird feeder on a picnic table---so they would simply raise up the lid and take the plexiglass side wall off & eat. (it was so expertly done I thought at first we had people trespassers.) So my husband took a strap & "tied" down the lid to stop that.
My only salvation is my daughters dog. he is part cattle dog. My husband taught him to chase off the squirrels---he chases them to the end of the yard & gaily returns all smiling--- Bad news is they are going home this sunday& we have already taught our dog NOT to chase the squirrels---Rod was afraid he would eat them.. "Beowulf" would not try to eat the squirrel, that is why he got put into training.
