I've been seeing the leaves on this canna getting more and more eaten up the past several days, and finally had a chance to take a good look to see who the culprit was. Anyone know what kind of caterpillar this is?

OH My! I just got a great caterpillar ID guide in at work. Of course I'm home right now. Doesnt thorny know an online site? Whatbug? is that it he always refers to? I'll look in that book when I get in. I looked in my old golden guides insect book.(I dont like the Gguides much at all) Look up the caterpillar for a skipper.

LARGE RUGGED HOLES IN LEAVES Cannas can be decimated by leaf-chewing insects, such as grasshoppers and leaf-rolling caterpillars. Two caterpillars, in particular, are very destructive to cannas in Florida, the larger canna leafroller, whose adult form is variously called the Brazilian skipper or the canna butterfly, and the lesser canna leafroller.
