Mom made me promise I'd stand in front of the camera and let her know I'm okay....she's more worried than I am. lol

No streaking here, I would hate for mom to have the cam open and dad be standing there too watching with her...... lol EWWWWWW.

Can you take matches on board? If all else fails, buy a lighter at your connecting part at the store and then toss it before you go...or bum a light off someone else.

You can bring a book of matches on the plane but not a lighter. You can't smoke on the plane Cindy but if you bring matches you can have one as soon as you get out of the airport!

Here in Canada, trains are run by Via Rail~absolutely no smoking allowed since the end of 2004, no smoking cars or anything. Wouldn't that be a long trip for you Loz?

Cindy, Before I flew to New Zealand (12+ hours), I put on a nicotine patch. It helped big time.

Cindy! lol

Tamara, look at what I found!

There are 45 station stops on the Empire Builder — the most of any Amtrak route.

And on amtrak.com it says that smokers can smoke at station stops as long as they don't leave and are ready to get on as soon as they yell all aboard! lol

I found 2 cool websites about my train ride if anyone is interested I'll PM them to you.....

K Penny, I'll PM ya!

Tamara---there used to be smoking cars...now you can only smoke on the Auto train and I think that just runs from DC or New York down to Florida or something.

I can see me now smoking one after another at a station stop.... lol

Well, my only specialty is Lasagna.... lol I'm not much of a cook! But Marks brother said that my lassagna was better than his moms and that's saying a lot because she's a great cook.

Triss, cook all the food you can! I eat like a man! lol
