Hello; I noticed my butterfly bush doesn't have any new grouth as of yet.Should there be some new green at this time or later.I can't remember what time it got green last year. My wife tells me to stop pushing the seasons and let nature take the course.
Thanks Donnie
Sometimes I wake up grouchy, other days I just let her sleep, while I'am outside in the garden she is counting sheep. (%$#@%*#&@) sorry honey,I didn't say that...honey put down that hoe... :(
Hmmm...I'm a little concerned. I'm in zone 7 and mine started growing over a month ago. Actually, they started in late March, but we got hit with 5 late freezes in early April and it killed back the new growth. Then they regrew more in early May. Hopefully yours will start soon.
I'll try cutting it back,I do know the butter fly bushes can take a hard trimming and bounch back.
Thanks.
P.S. If this doesn't work I'll dig them up and off to the nursery.

I found out what killed my butterfly bushes. My neighbors son decided to go on weed patrol with round up, must I say anymore. What makes me so mad is these plants were on my property, but at least the young man wasn't out getting in real trouble......
